Hillcrest Advancement Strategies LLC was founded in 2018 by Brittany Schwartz, an experienced prospect research and advancement services professional with a demonstrated history working in higher education and the non-profit sector.
Located in the Greater New York City Area, Hillcrest Advancement Strategies provides comprehensive, strategic solutions to supplement the important work nonprofit organizations are already doing to further their missions. It offers wealth screening services, full donor profiles, foundation and corporation research, fundraising analytics, portfolio development and analysis, and a suite of database solutions such as mailing list generation, data clean-up, coding overhauls, policy/procedure creation, and custom report development. Research and Raiser’s Edge training is also offered.
Your mission is what drives your work and Hillcrest Advancement believes in you. So at the end of every year, Hillcrest Advancement gives a contribution to each of its clients.
With more than ten years of experience in development, including annual giving, database & reporting, events management, institutional giving, and research, Brittany has honed her skills to offer a unique, well-rounded, and creative approach to development research and database consulting.
Prior to forming the consulting business, Brittany worked for organizations such as the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, Third Street Music School Settlement, the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research, and most recently as Director of Advancement Services for Felician University. In addition to her consulting work, she is a member of the adjunct faculty at the University of Delaware, where she teaches “Patterns of Patronage,” a performing arts marketing and fundraising course.
To supplement her professional career, Brittany sits on the board of the University of Delaware’s Northern New Jersey Alumni Club and has been a board member of St. John’s Summit Concert Series. She is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professional’s New Jersey Chapter.
Brittany earned an M.B.A. with a nonprofit specialization and a B.A. in Music with a music management concentration, both from the University of Delaware. She is also Blackbaud Certified in Raiser’s Edge (bCRE), ResearchPoint (bCRP), and Nonprofit Fundraising (bCNP-Fundraising).
She resides in Maplewood, New Jersey, with her husband, two young children, and two dogs. In her free time, Brittany can usually be found outdoors and looks forward to her family’s vacation in Maine every year.
Fun facts: she can play three instruments (piano, flute, and bassoon) and almost ran a full marathon (it was canceled while she was at the starting line!).
